The interface is bright and easy to read. The layout is also very simple and anyone should be able to start using the software with minimal help or reading instructions. One of the most prominent selling points of Spyhunter 4 is the fact that it has excellent rootkit protection. A rootkit is a type of malware that embed themselves into the core files of your computer, sometimes sneaking on in encrypted form. They are built to evade normal means of detection, and getting rid of them can be extremely difficult. Spyhunter 4 is designed to sniff these out before they get on your PC, and if they do make it on, Spyhunter 4 has a specialized operating system that it will boot into in order to remove the files from Windows. You sometimes can’t remove rootkit files when Windows is running, so this is a very important and helpful feature.

If for some reason Spyhunter 4 is unable to remove a worm or other malicious file, it will make a specialized report to send to the staff at Enigma software, where they will remotely help you and make a customized plan of recovery for your computer. This is another great feature of Spyhunter 4, and one I could have definitely taken advantage of when my computer got hit hard with a worm that just wouldn’t go away.

Of course, Spyhunter 4 has a general scan feature that you can run. We recommend doing this as soon as you have the program. After that you can generally let Spyhunter 4 just run in the background and monitor the incoming files.

Testing It Out
We ran Spyhunter 4 on two of our computers that we are also running Norton 360 on. The Spyhunter 4 engine managed to sniff out a few spyware issues that had avoided detection by Norton. We were rather surprised as we had no expectation that Spyhunter would find anything on these systems as they are kept very clean. This just shows us that the program is rather thorough. Scanning and removing these files was very easy.
Overall
Overall we think that Spyhunter 4 is one of the best antimalware and antispyware programs on the market. We suggest that if you’re curious, you download the program and run the scan to see if your computer could benefit from the program. The real time rootkit protection of Spyhunter 4 is a very attractive feature and we only recommend programs with this type of protection.
